About the event, from Francesca Santillan:
"Hear my history of being a female-bodied genderqueer person that presents with masculine of center style. I’ll share the elements that have shaped how I walk through the world. I will also present helpful tips on how to dress masculine in many different shaped body types and for many different styles, from traditional to flamboyant to dapper. I’ll give you tips including: how to fit different body shapes into off the rack clothing; how to utilize what you have; shopping options; identifying what works and understanding when to try something different."
Refreshments will be provided~!
About the presenter:
"I am a Chicano, queer, genderqueer clothing stylist. I am Francesca Santillan. My passions include shoes, clothing, and how finessing fashion allows people to externally present their bona fide inner presence. You’ll be lucky to catch my wingtips as I am always thinking about the next horizon of gender- deviant fashion.
By owning my dapper, I liberate my Self. I inspire others to find freedom from the cultural constraints of sex assigned clothing. Because of my own liberation I want to help other queers to own, feel and represent who they are in the world through their clothing representation."
Can't make it cause you've got class, aren't anywhere near the U, or are busy during that time? We will also be Facebook Live during the talk!
