Sad Butch Collective Zine Release Party!

  • Seen the Future 2223 E. 35th St. Minneapolis, Minnesota 55407 (map)

The Sad Butch Collective is an open collective of Mpls queers, striving for non-harmful masculinity. Three friends went through a summer of breakups, made a zine about butch heartbreak, and then found gay internet meme fame on Instagram.

Now YOU have the opportunity to join us for our zine release party! There will be activities for introvert & extrovert sad butches alike:
A singalong of Wonderwall, the sad butch national anthem
Fuck speed dating. Why not cut right to the chase and speed breakup?
Small group discussions with questions like “who taught you about gender?” and “what was the name of the childhood pet you still grieve?”
Sad Butch Mad Libs

Our first printing of 50 zines will be available for trade or purchase on a sliding scale ($0-15). We’re opening this to local folks before taking orders from around the country.

We’ll be donating a portion of any money raised to Heart of the Beast Theater, to protect and give gratitude to what the Mayday Parade & Festival has given our queer hearts.
